ABOUT
Alex Soares Castro is a Brazilian researcher working at the intersection of Bioelectrochemical Systems (BES), Artificial Intelligence, and Computational Linguistics. His work integrates electrochemical experimentation, real-time data acquisition systems, machine learning modeling, and semantic analysis to design intelligent and sustainable technologies.
He completed his PhD in Chemistry focusing on microbial electrochemical systems and conducted research at Johns Hopkins University, developing low-cost catalytic materials and optimizing hydrogen production in microbial electrolysis cells.
His interdisciplinary research explores predictive modeling of bioelectrochemical performance, explainable AI in electrochemical systems, and NLP-driven scientific knowledge extraction.
His long-term vision is to develop intelligent bioelectrochemical platforms capable of self-optimization through machine learning and semantic systems that translate scientific knowledge into actionable engineering solutions.
